I don't know about the OVA, but I can tell you that the GRRM series is all about intrigue and backstabbing and political maneuvering. There's not much good stuff, no. I mean, a few good things happen, but then crap happens again, and the characters have to struggle and scrabble their way out of it. Edit: Or, what athena8 said.
