Popping in just 'cause
So someone mentioned that I was posting on tumblr and not where my friends are. Oops! I just haven't had much important going on?
I did pick up the Tiger & Bunny official release and have been rewatching those. The dub isn't bad, IMO, but when I listen to it I do miss Hirata Hiroaki, the dear. Nobody sounds like him, or does that slouchy sort of coolness like he does, you know? And I've bought the first season of Darker than Black, and am looking forward to sitting down with that!
Weekends will be getting busier in the fall, though, if that's not weird. Fall here in Indiana is when all the festivals start. I could be at some sort of festival every Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the next couple of months if I wanted. This weekend we're doing a wine fest on Saturday and then Chautaqua in Madison, Indiana on Sunday. (Madison is very pretty, sitting on the Ohio River and being full of Victorian houses and lots of Art.)

As usual, I've submitted prompts to the yuletide-smut fest. As usual, like my fics, it's obvious who wrote the prompts.
Oops, the weatherman just dropped the eff-word in our forecast: frost, that is. Either tonight or tomorrow or Thursday. Suddenly I wish I was in Indiana.

Well, the wines from Indiana tend to the sweet rather than the dry -- my preference -- but really, it's wine, it's a fest, and so I shouldn't complain. I will try to get some pictures in Madison because it's so pretty! And dang, they always have such amazing artists and artisans. There is real quality stuff in those tents every year. (Not the usual Indiana flea market, is what I mean.)
Oh, man, frost already? I shouldn't complain about those upper 40s, should I?

For the kale, saute four or five (lots!) chopped cloves garlic in about a tbsp olive oil, then toss in a bunch of chopped kale, like a lot. A bunch cut up, or one of those bags full of already chopped kale. Stir until cooked down a little, then add about 1/2 cup water and cover and steam on low-medium for about 10 minutes. Stir in a couple tablespoons of lemon juice. YUM!
I have recently discovered an easy and tasty beans and cornbread shepherd's pie - how do you feel bout beans and cornbread? I can send that one to you. :)
For easy recipes, one book I've used over and over and over is "Moosewood Restaurant Cooks at Home." I've made at least half the recipes in that book. (I have all the Moosewood cookbooks, but some of them have much more involved recipes.)
