It's fun and silly and awkward between them at first, but as a reader, I think you did a great job conveying the immediate attraction between them.
I think the diary entries are my favorite parts, though, filled with the Victorian emo-drama of "Woe is me!!" (And a true concern of getting caught. That would be bad news.)
