Quick Update, Then Writing
Aug. 18th, 2012 09:13 amEee, I'm in the home stretch of my
7thnight_smut fic. So I'll go back to that here in a few.
So my doggie, Fuu, must be getting comfortable with me, because she's starting to show her obstinate streak, heh. (I hear pekingeses have those!) The first week she walked around the neighborhood with me happily, stopping only to sniff a little or do her business. Now, though, she stops every time she sees a person out in their yard, or every time she hears a dog bark in someone's house or backyard, and Will Not Move. She just sits there, and I can't just drag her down the sidewalk, so I usually end up picking her up to take her away from the distraction. I have a neighborhood full of people who do things in their yard and who have dogs, so walking has become time-consuming. I've been practicing "watch me" in the house when there are no distractions, and hopefully I can start doing that outside, too.
And the back yard isn't quite ready yet; I need to get that little fence to keep her away from the drainage ditch and above it, where there is the possibility of poison ivy. Of course, she heads straight for those things when we go out, and Will Not Stop Trying to get there. I will feel better when she can play in the back yard without mommy following her every step, being annoying and keeping her from what are obviously the most interesting things in the world. She totally sulks when I do that, heh.
But she doesn't sulk for long. Other than the stubborn stronger-than-she-looks streak, she's so good-natured and happy around the house, around my parents' house, and around people. And fluffy, don't forget fluffy.
