So I thought I might write, and when sharpeslass settled down for a nap I took out my half-finished story and went outside for some quiet writing time...

... and the rock-band behind us started practice. Woe! I may kill them someday, for they often have bad timing, as in when I've just laid down for a nap, times like that. I've got some pointy and/or heavy objects with "noisy teenager" written all over them.

Sometimes the band does not bother me, and they don't usually play too late at night, it's just... why a rock-band whose drummer lives behind US?

In other news, the two of us have watched 1-40 of Axis Powers Hetalia. What's more? We LIKED it. It's totally dorky and non-PC and you name it. Should I be ashamed?

Re the band practice: Oh man, I know the feeling. My brother plays the drums and his room used to be right next to mine. Urrgh. Once you find a decent place for the bodies, I say go for it XD

Don't be so hard on the guys. It could be much worser: they could learn playing violins or start their practice at 7am at week-ends (I hope they don't >.<). If you don't find it distracting, some big headphones and a player with your favorite music can come in handy. If the music is right, they won't even prevent you from napping.

Can we expect more fangirl squeeing? As far as I know Hetalia has tons of pretty boys who are asking to be paired with one another.

You know, there are deserts around here that are famous for all the bodies dumped in them. Las Vegas used to be a Mob city. :) So I have options!

Hetalia is TOTAL CRACK and not at all what I expected. And I totally ship America with England. And Japan with everybody, OMG.

Well, if they were a GOOD rock-band, it might be better! I did try to put in earplugs once, but the drumming is very thumpy and our houses in this neighborhood are very close together. I'm just a little on edge ALL THE TIME, now. :) So death may be imminent for them, anyway.

Hetalia is almost all pretty boys and it's incredibly slashy. And cute as a button. Fun stuff! I don't know that I'd fic it but I'd definitely fangirl it.

We could reach right out our paper-thin walls and touch their house, practically-- so whenever they have band practice, we hear every discussion. ;) I don't mind as much when I'm not in a bad mood or wanting quiet! And M hates the next-door neighbor more, the one who plays a really sucky radio station at 7:30 in the morning.

I bet that's frustrating. It reminds me of our neighbors who insist upon having drunken singalongs of Hootie and the Blowfish at 2 in the morning. Or the fact that they party ALL NIGHT when there's a football game.

I'm right there with you. I think you should quietly dispose of them. :P Or at least threaten to.

And I've been wanting to see Hetalia! Where did you find it?

Whee, you're watching Hetalia! So many people on my flist like it, and I rather enjoy it too, though I have about 5 eps to catch up with. It's really cute and silly and fun. Have you read any of the web comic? I've been given big recommendations for it, so if you want to try it, I can zip up what a friend sent me and zoom it your way. Let me know! :)

Be careful, Hetalia starts to suck you in until you just can't get enough of the crazy countries and their crazy antics! The fandom is very active too, so there are hours upon countless hours of time-wasting materials at your disposal. ^_^

HETALIA, OMG. I have glanced at the webcomics but they weren't in order or in a format I could "flip" through, if you know what I mean. Someone had saved a bunch of them in gif (WTF?). Are your copies any better?

OMG I know... I glanced at one of the communities and was overwhelmed. I put the "watch" community on watch so as not to be overwhelmed.

Yeah, I had to create a whole sub-group just for Hetalia - the main comm is so damn busy!

I don't have a US icon on this account, hmmmm I may have to rectify that. I can't decide if I like Germany/Italy or US/UK the best. Although UK/Japan is my guilty pleasure pairing, mostly because of this. Oh, and this. :D
I know you guys aren't seiyuu-dorks like I am, but there's just something about England's voice that I love, especially when he's either yelling at America or nervously interacting with Japan. (Although that voice actor will always be Sasuke to me, he makes for an adorable England.)

Heh, yeah I can see Sugiyama and Ishida being somewhat similar :) Ishida needs to be a country!

I like your America icon - I'm pretty sure it's fanart. There's some really good fanart for Hetalia out there! It seems like most of the official art is chibi-style, but I have a hard time distinguishing it from fanart too!
