Yeah, I come from a long line of patriots, but I can see that the British really had good reasons for the taxes and laws they enacted, especially after all the effort they put into the war in North America. It's just that American colonists had been sort of spoiled up till then with freedom to do what they wanted, and the British suddenly trying to take control in a very clumsy manner really set them off.
