Woo, back.
Jun. 27th, 2005 01:03 pmSo Santa Fe is an OK town, but is full of very snotty people and very expensive CRAP. I did still manage to shop my ass off, when we weren't working. If you look hard enough you can find some really unique stuff... I bought some gorgeous and affordable jewelry and lots o' clothes. And in a pottery-painting class I made a mug with a black background and with six crossed blue lightsabers. I loved it. The pottery-painting ladies said they'd never seen anything like it. ;) In fact, Santa Fe was surprisingly Star-Wars-free, and I suffered much withdrawal. I almost cheered when the local newsman said, "Like Anakin Skywalker, this college team is on fire!"
One thing I will say about the place is that the food was OUTSTANDING. Wow. Everywhere had tasty and interesting vegetarian choices. And red and green chile topping on just about anything you like. I will miss the red and green chile topping. Yum.
Sigh. Back to work. And back to writing the crappiest fanfiction ever, which is now over 20 pages of utter CRAP. Thanks in part to
lexsara I have the loveliest idea for a Tatooine Obi-Wan angst story. But I'm forcing myself to complete the crap first.

Date: 2005-06-27 08:49 pm (UTC)I'm especially proud of my idea because the only female in the story I'm planning to write is over 50 and has physical problems. And there is to be no slash, either. You see, I had started to wonder if I'm capable of writing anything that isn't R or NC-17.

Date: 2005-06-28 03:55 pm (UTC)Do you think Melinda's Ani/Padme would be a good idea? After writing my darkish Anakin I think I might just be able to do it. I'm so sick.

Date: 2005-06-28 03:59 pm (UTC)So heard anything yet on yours? Been inspired otherwise?
Re: Oh...
Date: 2005-06-28 07:17 pm (UTC)I'd love to read yours, too! At least you've got 20 pages of crap! I've got nothing except thoughts swimming around and taking over my brain!

Re: Woo
Date: 2005-06-28 10:10 pm (UTC)I actually got a bit grossed out because it turns out that Siri is only sixteen at the time of my story (Obi-Wan is 18). I am not sure now what to do. Although the age majority in the GFFA must be younger if people can be Queens and all at 14.
Tatooine FanFic
Date: 2005-06-29 02:44 am (UTC)Sounds like many of us are of like mind. Obi angst. I am writing a sad little tale, just so I might dream a bit less. It is fun though.
