On a Sunday, to urge me to vote. The governor of Nevada also called me, as well as serveral senators, the mayor of Las Vegas, and countless, countless volunteers calling to urge me to vote for (presidential candidate of their choice).

I had 20 calls yesterday, a SUNDAY, and this is not an exaggeration, urging me to vote, vote early, vote for whomever. I'm going to be afraid to get my voicemail messages when I get home tonight. Is this just Nevada or is it happening anywhere else?

And does this mean I have permission to call Barbara back?

:) K

Wow. I've only gotten two calls, this season. I'm not complaining, mind you.

One more day. Let's get the voting underway!

Can't wait.

Let's get going, all right! I will be more than happy to stand in line as long as it takes tomorrow to get someone elected for heaven's sake. :)

Friday night we got 4 calls. Last night we got both Ahnold and Bill Clinton. Other times we have come home to an answering machine with messages from both Wisconsin Right to Life and NARAL-Pro Choice America.

I'm surprised you're getting as much as you are in Nevada -- Wisconsin is even closer. And yes, we can't wait for the phones to stop ringing Wednesday.

Cool!

Dang, Ahnold didn't call ME!! Although I did hear from Danny Glover tonight. And Patientsfirst.com called three times (twice live, once on my machine).

Wow, that seems nuts. 20 calls in one day is harassment. That would drive me crazy. It seems like there should be a no-call list for political calls like there is for telemarketers.

It's so nice to live in a state where everyone knows who gets our electoral votes. I did come home to a call from Howard Dean urging me to vote Democratic in statewide races. Not as big a deal as Barbra Streisand, though. And I've talked to Howard already.

NV is bizarre.

What a weird state I live in... Las Vegas is mostly Democratic. But the entire rest of the state, outside the boundaries of this city all the way to every other edge, is purely cow country and solidly Republican. It all sorta balances out and makes us a tight race, oddly enough.

Life in a swing state! No phone calls here, although I suspect that's because I'm actually registered down in Blacksburg.

I feel so left out --- NOT. No calls here, but hey, I think you have every right to call Babs back. :)

Is it over yet?

Babs would love to chat!

TORN reported that Viggo Mortensen showed up at a Michael Moore rally in Ohio. Ahh, the ups and downs of living in those states still marked a lovely shade of tan.

Dang.

Seems Trina was called by Ahnold. I am jealous. Except Danny Glover called tonight also.

Now see, if Viggo called maybe I'd be a little more interested. Viggo: "I'm calling to urge you to vote." Me: "What are you wearing?"
