Almost Off!

Yay, no more work for me this week. Goin' back home again, to Indiana. I would say "see you soon" to all my lifelong Hoosier buddies, but they all have MySpace accounts. OMG MySpace is scary.

First, though, tonight sharpeslass and I get to have dinner with a couple of local fangirls. Squee! Then, finish packing, go to airport.

I wish I'd gotten to finish my latest fic, which will be 53 again FINALLY, but hopefully I'll remember everything I wanted to write after six days of seeing family and friends.

That it is, I'm sure!

Of course, I keep thinking of the desert around Northern Arizona which seems to be quite green --- relatively. At least as compared to near Riyadh, where I once spent a summer (suffering of heat-exhaustion.)

Nope, out here in southern Nevada it's a lot less verdant than Arizona... here it's a lot of dirt and a little sagebrush and yucca, the browns and tans and reds and browns and... well, you get the picture. :) Pretty in its own stark sort of way. Riyadh-- wow. Little to no vegetation? And I'm sure about the heat, especially in summer. The heat has been killing me this year; it seems hotter than usual. And we still haven't hit the 120s yet.
