Sanzo Figure Pics

I ordered the Sanzo light-up figure, and it finally arrived yesterday, yay! He comes in robes but they're like rubber with little holes and pins, to take them apart and remove them (or to put them back together, but, seriously, why have Sanzo in clothes?). As threatenedpromised, here are some pics:



Sanzo-Sama without his robe top (no, there are no pictures of him fully-dressed). The base has all these little LED lights that look really cool in the dark:

Can you see the teeny, tiny cigarette in his mouth? When I undressed him, his cigarette came out and I didn't realize it until a couple hours later when sharpeslass asked where it was. We combed acres of tile floor, sweeping and searching, and could not find it. We were desolate. Then, my darling roomie was about to steam some veggie meat-buns and just happened to look down and there it was! A miracle-- I'd feared I would never see it again. Go sharpeslass!

sharpeslass keeps taking Gojyo away and putting him with Hakkai. When I notice I change it back, but she's sneaky that way.

Well, I knew about that Hakkai obviously - but this SAnzo is more detailed than the one from the first set and think there needs to be another Hakkai with that much detail (and who's clothes also come off - so we can see the scar, y'know). Jeep doesn't have to be undressable... though if he could transform into a jeep, that might be cool....

There really does need to be the rest of the Ikkou. And Gojyo without pink hair and puffy pants. Undressable Gojyo...guh.

The scale issue could be a problem. The designers would have to have a complete grasp of quantum mechanics - or Dr. Who technology - so that Jipu in Dragon form could somehow transform into something larger. He'd have to be bigger on the inside...

Hmm good point. I'm with Doctor Who technology on this one, I think. Because you'd have to be able to fit all the other guy's figures in the transformed Jeep, otherwise it wouldn't be 'realistic'.

Which reminds me, I woke up this morning with some form of crack DW/Saiyuki crossover beating me in the head. I can just see Ten and Sanzo getting into a sarcasm faceoff with Hakkai beating them both soundly.

Several odd things - I was really upset about it being lost. I was a little ticked at jedishampoo for losing it, but didn't tell her that because first, it's her toy and second, I didn't want her to feel worse about losing it than she already did. So we'd spent an hour searching and then six hours later, out of the blue, she said something to the effect of "maybe that cigarette will just turn up." I immediately looked down from where I was standing next to the steamer and saw a cylindrical speck between my feet and just dropped and grabbed and there it was... so it was freaky-wierd on a lot of levels. It was like her words somehow "conjured" it. (another theory: Gojyo swiped it, smoked it, and then, while we were out of the house, he put one of his where he knew we might find it. Its too small to tell if it's now a Hi-Lite instead of a marlboro, but I have my suspicions) I was very happy though and was able to admit how upset I'd been and got to give JS a stern lecture about keeping better track of the damned thing when she dressed and undressed him - which, lets face it, she's gonna do--- and who can blame her?

The pack and teeny mouth-cigarette are totally removeable. I just put the pack in his hand so it wasn't lying at his feet. And if you don't put the cigarette in his mouth, then he has a strange little exposed hole in his lips. The gun, however, is part of his hand, I think... I didn't try to remove that. :)
