Our pumpkins from Halloween-- sharpeslass probably has better.... mine was really dorky, as usual. I'm a "free-form" pumpkin carver and they all look special to their mommy:

My pumpkin in the dark, with crappy camera, then enhanced using "auto levels" on Photoshop for a very arty effect:



sharpeslass's Goku pumpkin (he had a very adorably Goku feel... and had texture in the light. Alas, she probably has a better picture of him):



And for complete randomness, it's pomegranate season! FUNNEST FRUIT EVER!

And Goku - that kills me. It that general look of stupidity that only Goku can pull off with flair!

I have never eaten a pomegranate. What does it taste like? They scare me deep down for some reason... *shrugs*

Those punkins are the cutest! That Goku one really does look like him. Yours reminds me of something I can't put my finger on...looks kind of like my brother, actually.

Ha, did you use your perfume guide? Y'all make me want to get this book, too, from the library... what was it called?

I love buying pomegranates when they first show up at the grocery, and that's usually all I buy. They are just sort of a fall ritual. I get tired of the stains very quickly. ;)

I have no idea why we had six corks from Veuve Cliquot sitting above our stove. I just apparently, at six different times, popped the bottles and set the corks there. Probably because it's expensive but extremely tasty stuff. :)

Pomegranates are sort of tart and fruity. And they have those little pits in each aril that you just sort of chew up. I like their sharp little tartness, though. And they're a blast to peel and pull the arils out of!! That's why they're the funnest. :)

Actually, this wasn't in the guide ("Envy Me" by Gucci. Although they did have "Envy" and rated it 5 stars). The book is called "Perfumes: The Guide" and it's authored by Lica Turin and Tania Sanchez, 2008 publication.

Haha, yeah they do stain a bit. But it's nice to have those fall rituals!

sharpeslass's Goku looks like he wants to look creepy and illuminates his face with a pocket torch like they do in cheap scary movies. Did she think about making a Hakkai pumpkin? It would be totally in character XD

And I still can't figure out the most efficient way of eating pomegranates.

You peel them very, very carefully, and the juicy little arils just sorta fall out. :) I've done it in a bowl of water before, just to keep myself and everything around me from becoming pink.

:) I don't know why she didn't do a Hakkai pumpkin, but I guess pumpkins suit Goku better, maybe?

The pumpkins are adorable! I carved a really simple Hakkai faced one myself. And pomegranates are yummy and fun. Haven't had one in years, though.

I do have a pic. Someone else thought it was suppoed to be Goku. Oh well, I'm not exactly a master pumpin carver. ;) I had a scene from an anime episode in mind for this, the one where the pathetic imposters are serving noodles to the ikkou, and they have this vision of their faces all creepy-like. I know some people don't like the filler episodes, but oh man, some of them are just hilarious. Sorry, I don't know how to stick pics in comments.

Oh, he's so cute and smiley! I love the little half-moon spectacle eye. He would have looked really good with sharpeslass's Goku. :)
