Breathing sigh of near-relief

So we are nearly moved! Well, we ARE moved, but there are still some boxes here and there and pictures unhung. (For those who don't know, I am now renting a house with my buddy Melinda, sharpeslass
.) Sigh. The cat has already managed to pee on my couch but oh well, the perils of living with a non-human mammal. I figure we'll buy a fish tank to distract ol' Nina, now known as Puddles, during the day.

So we have this twisty stairway in this house that looks like the perfect place to hang pictures a la an English manor-house. But question: how do you hang them when you can't reach the higher walls? A ladder on the stairs just seems scary.

And holidays? What holidays? Who has time for holidays?

I think I saw how to hang pictures in odd places on Christopher Lowell, if I remember correctly.
