Birthday Squee (see moe icon)

I had a really lovely birthday! I didn’t really mope much at all, I think. I got so many phone calls and e-mails and thoughts and some cards and prezzies from my lovely roomie sharpeslass to keep me occupied and happy, and I’m truly grateful to have so many good friends and I’m such a lucky girl. :) ::tries to stop the gushing::



I woke up and sharpeslass had set me up a little table display of my presents. Isn’t it pretty? :)



She made me yummy eggs benedict-- vegetarian, of course (she doesn’t even have to ask any more what I want for special occasion breakfasts; she just buys the ingredients for eggs benedict, heh)-- and then I got to open my presents. I got a Pinocchio DVD, a Tamaki plushie (squeeeeee for Tamaki!) and a gorgeous dress I’d been drooling over.

You see, I’d seen this pink, fluffy, frilly dress in the Pyramid Collection catalog and was going to buy it for myself, but sneaky sharpeslass and my boss had convinced me that another dress in the catalog would look better on me. I was sad because they thought the pink, fluffy, frilly dress would not look good on me. “Am I not girly enough for the pink, fluffy, frilly dress?” I thought. Turns out M had already bought it for me. And it fits! Please excuse the picture, though; I just plain do not pose for pics and it flows better than it looks:



Here’s the Tamaki plushie with sharpeslass’s cat, Nina. Tamaki/Nina OTP!1!! Aren’t they cute?



sharpeslass also got us pedicures. We now have pretty toesies with flowers on them! And online, there are some cuuute gifts from kispexi2, sakuraharu, riverlad and helliongoddess on my profile! Thank you to all who gave me birthday wishes on e-mail and on lj and everything, too. And oooh, and I got fic! Gojyo/Sanzo numminess FTW!

I got an awesome and daring and very dark-- yes, by request but interpreted beautifully and gut-wrenchingly-- Gojyo/Sanzo story by a darling posting under the handle ginsake, go read it if you dare: The Watcher. (Warning for noncon and more, and yes, I totally asked.)

inksheddings wrote some hot n’ sexy n’ hot 53 action with that 53 brand of sweetness: Consumed by What’s to Transpire.

And rehtaeh11 surprised me with a fun and sexah voyeur!Sanzo ficlet (mmm, voyeur!Sanzo), Peeping Sanzo!

Thank you to you all!!! You rock so hard. And V, you are right-- I don’t feel older. Maybe it hasn’t sunk in, yet? Hee.

Aw... that Tamaki plushie is every bit as adorable as I expected it to be. ^^ And the dress is lovely, especially around the neckline... and I was SOOOO -not- staring at your chest, I swear! Okay, I'm sorry. Really, that was uncalled for. *face palm*

Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the day, it sounds like you got all kinds of wonderful things. I have to say that dark fic was not as bad as I expected it to be, in fact it was quite good. I was actually surprised to be the first one to comment on it, since I'm sure there were people who read it before I did.

I had a good jedishampoo's birthday as well. It was kind of like a three day celebration, really. You forgot to mention the Saturday sushi and the sunday movies. tut.
I'm glad I got to help make 40 bearable! I'm trusting you to cushion the blow for me when my time comes in December! You totally deserve all the best and I knew you would look great in the girly dress. (Sorry we had to decieve you, but weren't you surprised?)
