Happy Easter!

To all those who celebrate, Happy Easter! Being the 12-year-olds that we are, we colored eggs and the Easter Bunnies (i.e., each other) brought us baskets.

Our eggs are gorgeous. And get this: we got each other the exact same stuffed lambs. sharpeslass got me one because it was soft and uber-cute and made of green materials. I did it because, well, the lamb is soft and cute and made of green materials and because I always try to confine my annoying vegetarianism to "baahhhing" at people who are eating lamb, so the lamb was ironic. Hers is named "Kyouya" and mine is creatively named "Lambie-Pie."

Another irony: I eat eggs and love boiling eggs and making deviled eggs, but cannot eat hard-boiled eggs. In anything. Oh, and now M tells me my "baahhing" was integral to her purchasing decision, also.

Happy Easter! The eggs are beautiful and the lambs look very cute. How are you planning on keeping track of which lamb is which, btw? And how loudly did you lol when the first one was opened, or was the fact that they were the same not disclosed until the second present was opened?

I boiled eggs last night, but will probably color them shortly, after I put together the scalloped potatoes. Nowadays, it's mostly for me; my daughter's no longer interested, though she'd probably complain if we stopped buying her chocolate bunnies. (I colored eggs all through my childless days, so it's for me, not her.) I'm looking forward to getting the rest of the 30k story (Gravitation, not Saiyuki) that I've been working on since last May, with a two-month interruption for computer problems, off to my beta reviewer and out of my hair, finally; I just finished the final edits for it.

Heh, we'll manage to keep track, somehow. We discovered it when they were hanging out of their baskets on the coffee-table, at the same time. (I laughed when I brought my basket downstairs and saw the one left for me.)

Oh, scalloped potatoes, yum! M is making potato salad and I'm making asparagus crepes. And trying to finish a monster Hetalia fic that is definitely too long and too slow-moving but has smut, at least. ;) Congrats on finishing yours.

So, you guys boil your eggs and then color them?? In England, we take raw eggs and poke a hole in the bottom of the shell with a pin, and then drain the egg stuff out the bottom until the shell is empty. Then we paint ours. I guess we like to be more difficult? XD

You guys really are soulmates, buying each other the same stuffed critter like that. They are adorable. I had never even thought about how to make a stuffed animal "green."

We are getting a new stove and ours is unhooked and dead while we await the new one (hopefully tomorrow) so we had to resort to breakfast from MacDonalds (a mistake >.<) and dinner grilled outside (better than breakfast)neither of which were very Easter-y. But Easter doesn't mean much to me these days, compared to what it used to... I guess my grinchiness has become trans-seasonal. *lol*

That said, Happy Easter to you and M, anyway!!

Sounds like a wonderful dinner you had! We had a dinner with the two of us, and it involved Project Runway season 6, so I'm not sure how geeky it was.

Hee, we are always saying "my mind to your mind." It's annoying sometimes and funny at others. :) The stuffed lamb is, I believe, made with recycled "bio-materials" or something like that.

It wasn't bad. It was just me and the hubbs. My parents were out of town, and his were working. We didn't have a big Easter dinner because we're both dieting, but we're going to have a treat mid-April to make up for it. ^_^

(And half-priced Easter candy day after ftw!! \o/ )
