Brief Picspam; Me in a Suit and Sanzo Mii!

So while I wait for my dream Indianapolis job to coalesce, I thought I might get some temporary work. I went to an employment agency yesterday. Last time I went to this particular agency, 15 years ago, they informed me that I should be wearing a SUIT. A what? I asked. Apparently, people looking for jobs wear this thing called a jacket with pants or a skirt and it makes them look professional. Or something. Anyway, last time I wore this jacket was in 2002 when I went to interview at the bar in Nevada, and I never wore it again.

But I figured I'd do what THA MAN asks of me and wear the jacket. I had to borrow a black tank top from my mom (all mine show too much cleavage) and a black skirt (mine is too tight and short, and thus also slutty). I refused to wear pantyhose, however.

I thought I didn't look too bad, but after I saw the picture I realized that I have, indeed, gained a few pounds that I need to lose rather soon if I want to wear my summer clothing. (The first time I put on shorts this year I, er, uh, ripped the butt-cheek out of one side.)

So I hooked up the Wii at the parents' house. And the Wii Fit. And did step class... with SANZO!



See? I made a Mii with grumpy!Sanzo. And I also exercise with Hakkai, Goku, Kyouya, Tamaki, L, and more. (I couldn't make a believable Gojyo, unfortunately.)

I hope your outfit wowed them! It will amuse me, in an evil sort of way, if it turns out you felt overdressed.

L exercising is even more unbelievable than Sanzo exercising. Other than when he's chained to Light, he slouches in a chair (or wherever) while eating dessert. He may not be flabby or fat, but he's got to have horrible muscle tone. He'd be the definition of the unfit thin - a category I never knew existed until I took an four-days a week, hour and a half a day modern dance class in college and learned that thinness does not equal fitness.

I'm dubious that Sanzo acquired and maintains those amazing arm and shoulder muscles of his on target practice and genetics, though I have no clue what kind of exercise he might do to maintain that muscles tone. *g* But I'm sure Sanzo would bitch about having to exercise at someone else's whim, especially in a group.

The suit looks very buttoned down and proper. You are a handsome woman, so you probably have a lot of flexibility in your clothing choices, but I'm sorry that the "suit uniform" isn't a comfortable one.

Sanzo cracks me up. He seriously looks like he's about to weep there, after he finishes grinding walnut shells open with his teeth..

Having Sanzo look incredibly grumpy while he exercises with me is one of the joys of doing it. Though sometimes they make the Miis smile, even if you design them with a grumpy face, and Sanzo smiling is even scarier. Of course, all we have to do is look at the latest Blast to see that! :)

Sanzo does not look happy about doing those exercises. Maybe he's been sitting around watching too much TV lately? I know I have. Hakkai must have nagged him into it.

I do think the suit jacket looks nice, though. Very professional.

Suits are not that bad once you get used to them ;) They are fine when the weather is not hot. And they do make you look more reliable and professional.

The only reason I own a suit ... is because of cosplay :P If Integra Hellsing didn't wear a double-breasted suit, there is no way I'd own one. *sweatdrop* It's way too hot to wear a suit jacket in Tucson, imo.

Hee! When I went over to see my daughter's Wii the first time, she made me a Sanzo that looked EXACTLY like that! Too funny.

And I thinks ya looks lovely, lass, in yer suit. And don't feel bad, when I was working I drove my library director mad because I refused to wear panti-hose (horrible things.) She was trying to figure out a way to make them a part of the "dress code" when I left - she had already ruled out open-toed shoes and sandals, but she got away with that as a "safety concern" (as if!) Like the Oxford English Dictionary jumps off the shelf every day and falls on our bare toes... But she had to know if she tried the hose thing we would have screamed sex discrimination - and rightly so. They are especially heinous in the heat like we get around here. Feh.

Thank you!! And eeee, panty-hose! They are the DEVIL! I'll admit that black tights, or maybe brown, are OK in winter. But panty-hose? WHY? Heh.
