Not Much Going On...
Jun. 11th, 2010 12:07 pm...but I'll update, anyway!
Things are pretty quiet, here in Indianapolis. I'm still looking for a job. I've put in a dozen or so applications, several for jobs that would be perfect for me if people would only call me back! I might start looking at some freelance stuff-- I'd been holding off until I'd thought I might hear about some stuff locally, but in the meantime I need some money to live on! Still, my parents have been pretty awesome about me moving all my stuff in and eating their food and using their water and electricity.
And at least I have people to hang with-- most of my old friends are still here! I was talked into going to a biker-slash-country bar in Bargersville, Indiana, last night, for a fish fry and karaoke, and my friend Sarah and I are counting that trip as one of those little adventures that life offers. I spent a day with friends in Bloomington visiting the IU Campus, the IU Art Museum and several brew-pubs, as well as a Tibetan restaurant owned by the nephew of the Dalai Lama. (When they ask you how spicy you like your food, think twice before saying "as hot as you make it." My lips are still burning.) I'm having a cookout next weekend and am making margaritas and mojitos. My mom bought me some herb plants and pepper plants to supplement my old herb garden that's gone wild, so we have tons of fresh chives, thyme, dill, mint, basil (OMG LOTS OF BASIL, it takes over) and oregano.
Now bring on the jobs, please! :) I hope you all are doing well, my flist.

Date: 2010-06-11 10:22 pm (UTC)Best of luck in your job search! Keep plugging away at it, and don't be afraid to call if you don't hear anything. The worst an employer can say is that they've already hired someone else, and if they're still doing interviews, there's a good chance you'll get one, too, if you sound interested. Rock 'em, babe!

Fresh herbs, mmmm!
