Song Lyric Meme

I couldn't help it... the meme was too fun. Though I've had a hard time guessing other people's lyrics on their journals!

01. Set your music to random and shuffle it.
02. Post the first line (or first couple of lines) from the first 20 songs that play (or however many you want to), no matter how embarrassing the song.
03. Anyone is allowed to guess the answers. Strike through and add the artist and title below the lyric when someone gets one right.

I did 15 songs! And yes, a couple of them are embarrassing. If a song came up that named the song in the first line, I skipped it. :) This happened twice.

YAY! I was hoping someone would recognize that one, though it was one of my embarrassing ones. But yes, I have a very soft spot for Bread, and for 70s lite rock in general. ♥ ♥

Argh! I can't believe I didn't get the Heart song! I've seen them in concert twice, and had the Dreamboat Annie album since it first came out in '75! But I will admit that has always been one of my least-favorite songs of theirs. The heavy bass guitar riff always sounds like the beginning of the "Bonanza" opening song (of course, you are probably too young to remember Bonanza and what that song sounded like!) Give me Dog & Butterfly or Magic Man any day.

I wouldn't have recognized the lyric without the music, myself. :) I do remember Bonanza, 'cause my dad used to watch it... but I'd have to hear the music to remember it.

And I do love Magic Man, also! But my favorite Heart song is "Crazy on You." ♥
