The Horror
Mar. 8th, 2011 10:10 pmThe horror! (Pronounce this the way Marlon Brando does in Apocalypse Now...)
So my AVG told me that my Plants vs Zombies.exe file was infected with a Win32 virus. OH NOES. Except... AVG detects no viruses when I run a scan, Malwarebytes detects no viruses, Hijackthis tells me all is good, etc. So I visited the AVG website forums, and apparently the latest update is rife with false positives! People's games are being virus-vaulted by AVG free when there's actually nothing wrong with them.
They're apparently putting a fix into the next update. But in the meantime, how do I play Plants vs. Zombies???? Wahhhhhh!
In other news, my Game On diet starts again tomorrow. Wooot! I need it desperately, for I have been slothful and gluttonous the last month or so.

Date: 2011-03-09 03:48 am (UTC)I went to Trader Joe's tonight for the healthy food, and then next door to Panera Bread for a pumpkin muffin and a chai tea latte. Then I came home and ate peanut M&Ms.

Date: 2011-03-09 04:06 am (UTC)I had that happen with Avast a while back and it went like this:
Me: WHY THE FUCK DO I EVEN HAVE VIRUS PROGRAAAAMMSS???
End of story. LOL.

Date: 2011-03-14 01:04 am (UTC)And man, I was thinking about switching to Avast... so it does the same thing, eh? Darn.
I guess I'd rather have a virus program than lose my computer, sigh.
