twistedsheets10, here is a picture of some lilacs I cut and took into work (with a couple of daffodils for contrast). These are the white, the lavender, and the pink lilacs (which also look pretty close to lavender). The deep-purple French lilacs should bloom any day now.
I wish I could share the heavenly scent with you all!
UPDATE: The offer was accepted! OMG OMG OMG. I am going to be soooo poor but I will have a home, yay! Now to just get through the inspection... this one was inspected last year so hopefully it's still okay. :)

I had a good feeling, but I didn't want to say anything, in case it went wrong... You are batting 1000 - first the job and now the house - good deal!
You will be poor, but it's so worth it. And don't forget you will get a HUGE tax write-off, especially this year. Besides, you'll be so happy in your little homette, you won't even think about how little money you have (except when you think of the things you want to do to the house! *lol*) Ya gotta start somewhere, and you are off to a great one! Shit, I can't remember exactly how old you are, but I am guessing if I had started buying a house when I was about your age, I would have it nearly paid off by now - or close to it.
