sharpeslass and I have been immersing ourselves in Star Trek again lately, a nice way to spend the summer. (Sitting on the couch, in the air conditioning, with cold beer/wine/Pepsi/diet Coke, and science fiction show of choice.)
sharpeslass had not seen all of the ST: Next Generation episodes, and I'd hardly seen ST: Voyager except for first season, so we're switching back and forth between series.
She is discovering the joy of awesome TNG episodes like Yesterday's Enterprise and I am amazed at the "soapiness" of Voyager. And I actually LIKE Seven of Nine. But I may be irreparably ticked off because
sharpeslass warned me to back off on my 'shippiness because Janeway/Chakotay do not ever get together. This is an unbelievable CRIME. Chakotay=HOT and obviously nuts about Janeway. Star Trek writers are so
Eeeevil. Why do I bother to 'ship Star Trek? I am reminded of back in the day when I threw a fit every time Picard hooked up with a new set of space boobs.
At least the creators got Kira and Odo together in Deep Space Nine. But I'm still ticked over this Janeway/Chakotay thing.
Off to Indiana tomorrow... everyone have a great week!
