jedishampooI just realized that I turn 39 in two days. Argh! Our 25-year-old mailroom guy told me "at least you're not 40 yet." I usually think 40 is young. Until I approach it. Such a hypocrite. :) Aw, I always get this way around my birthday. Ever since I turned 24 or so, I've managed to feel sorry for myself on my birthday. It's a personality flaw, I think.

Date: 2008-05-10 02:06 am (UTC)Well, I guess I should have said "semi-fictional." ;-) That's the young Miyamoto Musashi from the semi-biographical historical manga Vagabond, which has some of the most beautiful artwork of any manga I know (more pix here). But it's very shounen manly-man "I must become the greatest swordsman" stuff. I got the artbook at Katuscon - just gorgeous.
