I just realized that I turn 39 in two days. Argh! Our 25-year-old mailroom guy told me "at least you're not 40 yet." I usually think 40 is young. Until I approach it. Such a hypocrite. :) Aw, I always get this way around my birthday. Ever since I turned 24 or so, I've managed to feel sorry for myself on my birthday. It's a personality flaw, I think.

I need porn. Will someone please write some unpretentious porn? Or if you're not of the porny persuasion, post me a picture of a pretty man?

Well, you will ALWAYS be younger than I am!! And I always found the years right before and right after big ones to be rather more... difficult, I suppose. Having spent the last 7 years in them, I do think that the 40's are really pretty cool. When you get there, I know you'll enjoy them too.

Heh. Yeah, 29 was particularly bad, as I remember. Ah well, I'm sure I'll continue to enjoy the years. It's just... each year reminds me of the things I haven't done yet-- gotten married, had kids. I know it's still possible but I begin to worry.

On another note, I'm trying to get out to DC to see y'all fabulous ladies at the end of this month... the gummint sent me $600 so I might as well do as they wish and support the economy. Guess I'd better hurry. :)
