My New Hair. & Misc pics.

I had a PMS-related "self-image" emergency last week. So I finally booked a hair appointment and had my hair chopped and colored and wheee, I needed it. It's a little shorter than I'm used to, but my hair grows so quickly I won't feel bald for long. :)

I asked for chop-chop-get-rid-of-it, an undercolor with red tints, and chunky blonde highlights. Here is what I got!



Here's my new hairdo after my hairdresser styled it (please excuse the office lighting, eeeek! It's so unflattering):




Here I am with re-washed and unstyled hair, with a tree growing out of my head thanks to Mom, woe. But the picture was taken in natural light, which I feel so much better about. :)



Here's my hair on New Year's Eve for comparison (I'm with my lovely lifelong friend Becky at her boyfriend's farmhouse):




And just for randommness, here are some pics I took around our yard during our ice storm a couple weeks back. Look at our poor bird-feeder! We couldn't open it for days.










In other news, I'm almost done with Cryoburn. I'm taking my time with it, in an attempt to not read ::spoiler:: that I already know happens. Woe!

It seems like you had the same thing that we had about 12 years ago. Back then all the trees were covered with a thin layer of ice. And that's not a good thing, a lot of them broke because the additional weight was to heavy for them. And lookie, you have no snow on the second photo :D

Looks fab!! I love the highlights! And hey - it's pretty much the same length as mine! I'm going Thursday because my roots are atrocious. Still, I wish my hair grew a bit more quickly even if it meant more frequent root touch ups. I've been trying to grow it long for ages. Granted, it's curly, so that takes away some of the length, but I still want it to grow a good 3 or 4 inches longer.

How have you been holding up? I put 1.6 pounds back on. Bleh. My own fault though, because I didn't exercise when I was sick, and I really shouldn't have bought that big bag of jalapeno potato chips, which I ate over 2 days... Oops! I had a craving!! :-P

The hair looks great! I know it can be strange when you have a significant amount cut off, but I think that length is very flattering for you. And the highlights are a nice touch.
